Answer to D&C 75 question

In section 71, the Saints are counseled to "confound their enemies" when they are enduring attacks and persecutions. What do you think the Lord meant by this? What might you say and how might you behave if an acquaintance of yours was saying uncomplimentary things about the Church?

'Confound my enemies' I would say that it means to live uprightly and stand for truth regardless of the consequences. They are trying to get us to change the way we live and think, if we give into that then our true enemy, the adversary will have power. It does not mean to Bible bash with them, but simply bare our testimony in words if possible and definitely in deeds. This will show them that how we live and what we belief has positive lasting affects and they can't damage or destroy it.
